Salt solution is sprayed into the test chamber through a nozzle located in the top of the test chamber. The compressed air required is heated in a pressurised humidifier and saturated with moisture before it enters the test chamber. More stringent testing calls for an atmosphere containing Sulphur Dioxide in a condensation water-alternating climate. This test is possible with our Standard Salt Spray Corrosion Test Chamber with a Sulphur Dioxide gas closing device.
Chamber structure is overall 10mm thick Polypropylene. Option in PPS plastics to meet CSA flam test. Test chamber is insulated with a double wall. Access to the test chamber is made via the pivoting cover. Control panel and all necessary control devices are on the right side in ergonomic position. The Salt solution storage tank is on the left side. The electrical board is completely enclosed in a dedicated zone: next to it we find the electro-valves, humidifier and salt solution dosing pump zone. Each part is of easy access for simple and fast maintenance.

Acrylic or Polypropylene Cover is provided. Corrosion test chamber is able to accurately simulate the corrosive conditions products encounter with actual outdoor exposure but in far less time. The ample workspace allows for a variety of components to be tested inside the chamber. An adjustable stainless steel shelf raises the product off the chamber floor, providing more accurate exposure. A full front opening door accommodates easy access to the entire workspace for easy loading and unloading of product. Salt and water spray nozzles are easily adjustable ensuring proper product exposure. The Corrosion Test Chamber is made from special fibreglass with reinforced plastic laminate making it light and easy to move whilst robust and able to withstand accidents.
